Filler’s Dominance and Surprises: Premier League Pool Day Two Recap

Day two of Premier League Pool at US 1 Billiards, West Haven, Connecticut, witnessed Joshua Filler’s exceptional performance, streamed live on, DAZN in the United States, and networks worldwide. Filler dominated, winning all three matches and claiming the top spot on the leaderboard.

Filler, dubbed ‘The Killer,’ showcased his prowess from the start, delivering a resounding 5-0 victory over defending champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz. His statement win set the tone for the day’s action on Table one.

Continuing his reign of dominance, Filler demonstrated why he’s a force to reckon with, swiftly dispatching top-ranked Michael Feliciano with another 5-0 victory in just 18 minutes.

In a nail-biting showdown, Filler secured his position at the league’s summit by defeating US Open Pool champion Ko Ping Chung in a thrilling hill-hill encounter. Ending the day with only four racks dropped, Filler boasted a Rack Difference of +13, placing him ahead of Poland’s Wiktor Zielinski, who also secured five victories.

Zielinski matched Filler’s unbeaten record on day two, triumphing over 2021 Premier League Pool champion Albin Ouschan and Filipino talent Bernie Regalario. However, Sanchez Ruiz halted Zielinski’s winning streak with an impressive 5-2 victory, propelling himself into the top six with four wins.

Nguyen Anh Tuan mirrored Sanchez Ruiz’s success, securing his first win of the week by defeating World Pool Master Ko Pin Yi 5-3. Meanwhile, Spanish Open Pool champion Dang Jin Hu clinched his first point of the week, edging out David Alcaide in a tense hill-hill battle, leaving the latter with a disappointing 0-6 record heading into the third day of play.
