Ka Wai Cheung Clinches WSF Championship Title and World Snooker Tour Spot

Ka Wai Cheung emerged victorious in the WSF Championship, securing the title for the first time and securing a coveted spot on the World Snooker Tour. The 24-year-old player showcased a commanding performance in the final against Gao Yang, clinching a 5-0 victory in Albania. Noteworthy breaks of 52 and 60 highlighted Cheung’s skill on the snooker table.

Cheung’s triumph in the championship not only marked a significant personal achievement but also earned him a ticket to the professional tour for the upcoming 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons. In the semi-finals, Cheung displayed his prowess by defeating Iulian Boiko from Ukraine with a convincing 4-0 score, while Gao Yang of China secured his place in the final by narrowly edging out England’s Daniel Womersley with a 4-3 victory.
