The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) has disclosed that the WPBSA Q Tour Global Playoff, now expanded, is scheduled to take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from March 13 to 15, 2024. This revamped Playoff, happening concurrently with the European Championships organized by the European Billiards and Snooker Association (EBSA) at the Hotel Hills, will grant three players a two-year World Snooker Tour card starting from the 2024/25 season.

The competition will feature 24 players, each requiring three victories to secure a professional tour card. Among the participants, a minimum of 16 will be selected from the Q Tour UK/Europe Series, with Liam Davies, Michael Holt, Umut Dikme, and Antoni Kowalski already assured of qualification as winners in previous events of the season—unless one of them claims the automatic tour card by finishing at the top.

Additionally, up to eight players from regional Q Tour events held globally will join the competition. Q Tours in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Middle East Regions have already been announced, and outstanding performers from regional ranking lists are set to qualify for the Global Playoff.
