Predator Pro Billiard Series Unveils Stellar Lineup for $100,000 Women’s Showdown in Las Vegas

The lineup for the upcoming $100,000 Women’s Showdown in Las Vegas, part of the Predator Pro Billiard Series, has been revealed. The tournament, scheduled to take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino from February 27 to March 1, 2024, is a highlight of the CueSports International Expo and boasts a substantial prize pool of over half a million dollars.

Among the 16 world-class women’s players set to compete, eight have received invitations, adding to the eight who automatically qualified based on their WPA World Ranking following the Predator Women’s World 10-Ball Championship in October. The invited players include distinguished individuals such as Pia Filler, the recent winner of the Predator WPA World Teams Championship for Germany, and Seo Seoa, who enjoyed a breakout year and finished 2023 as the WPA World No. 6.

Other invitees feature accomplished champions like Kristina Tkach, a former WPA World Junior Champion with an impressive list of European Championships and EuroTour titles, and Margarita Fefilova, a two-time EuroTour and 2021 European 9-Ball Champion. Additionally, notable players such as Yuki Hiraguchi, Wei Tzu-Chien, Han Yu, and Siming Chen have been extended invitations due to their remarkable achievements in various international competitions.

These eight invited players will join the eight qualifiers, including Chou Chieh-Yu, the reigning WPA World 9-Ball Women’s Champion, and Chezka Centeno, the World 10-Ball Women’s titleholder. The total prize money for the event is $100,000, with the winner set to take home $35,000. The competition will be streamed live on the new Pro Billiard TV YouTube Channel, featuring two live streaming tables.

The Women’s Showdown will kick off with a round-robin group stage, each comprising two seeded players from the WPA top eight and two invited players. The top two players from each group will advance to the single-elimination stage. The tournament promises to be a thrilling display of skill and competition, bringing together some of the best women’s players from around the world.
