Predator Pro Billiard Series Launches $100,000 Women’s Showdown in Las Vegas

The Predator Pro Billiard Series has officially unveiled the Women’s Showdown, a groundbreaking tournament boasting a generous prize pool of $100,000. This thrilling event will showcase the talents of 16 elite players and is scheduled to take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, running from February 27 to March 1, 2024. It is a noteworthy component of the CueSports International Expo.

The Women’s Showdown underscores the unwavering commitment of the Predator Pro Billiard Series to the women’s billiards game. Fans worldwide can witness the action through the live streams on the newly launched Pro Billiard TV YouTube Channel, which features two dedicated tables for the event.

The top eight players in the WPA Women’s Ranking, following the conclusion of the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship, will earn coveted seed positions in the Women’s Showdown. Additionally, eight more players will secure invitations to participate in the tournament. All 16 participants will walk away with well-deserved prize money, and the champion will be awarded a substantial $35,000.

The Women’s Showdown will kick off with a round-robin group stage, with each group composed of two seeded players from the WPA top eight and two invited players. The top two performers from each group will advance to the single-elimination phase.

Vincent Rochefort, the Event Manager for the Predator Pro Billiard Series, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to introduce this brand-new women’s event, the PBS Women’s Showdown. Rochefort emphasized, “There will be no entry fee for the players, and we are committed to ensuring that all participants are rewarded for their hard work, achievements, and dedication to the sport. The $100,000 prize fund is our way of recognizing their commitment. We hope this event will further motivate players in each season as they strive to qualify for the next Showdown.”
