Luca Brecel, Mark Williams, Graeme Dott, and David Gilbert have opted to withdraw from the upcoming Wuhan Open scheduled for next week. Brecel and Williams cited medical reasons for their withdrawals.

As a result, the opponents slated to face Brecel, Williams, and Dott have been granted a bye into the subsequent round. These opponents are Xing Zihao, Zhang Anda, and Noppon Saengkham.

Gilbert withdrew from the event earlier in the week, providing ample notice for event organizers to replace him with a player from the Q School 2023 Order of Merit who possesses a valid China visa. Daniel Womersley is set to replace Gilbert in the tournament draw.

The updated draw includes the four wild card players as well. The Wuhan Open is scheduled to take place from October 9 to 15 in Wuhan, located in central China’s Hubei province. This event marks the first ranking event held in mainland China since 2019.
