Snooker Stars Shine in Qualifiers for International Championship

Barry Hawkins showcased his exceptional form this season, securing a convincing 6-0 victory against Andrew Pagett and earning a spot in the final stages of the International Championship.

The qualifying round in Sheffield will continue until this Saturday, with all victors advancing to the event in Tianjin, China, scheduled for November.

Hawkins, who recently clinched the BetVictor European Masters title in Germany, has impressively won ten consecutive matches. His latest triumph over Pagett took a mere 85 minutes, highlighted by top breaks of 52, 59, and an impressive 103.

Ryan Day achieved his fourth career maximum break (147) and a 128 in a dominant 6-1 win against Mink Nutcharut. Ross Muir displayed his prowess with a noteworthy 6-3 victory over Wu Yize, showcasing runs of 51, 92, 51, 68, and 112.

In a remarkable comeback, Jordan Brown overcame a 5-2 deficit to defeat Sean O’Sullivan 6-5, sealing the win with a skillful 35-minute deciding frame, potting brown, blue, and pink.

Tian Pengfei staged a comeback from being 2-0 down to triumph 6-3 against Stephen Hendry. Stephen Maguire showcased his talent, securing a 6-2 victory against Peng Yisong, with a high break of 80. Long Zehuang exhibited resilience by coming back from 5-3 down to narrowly edge out Yuan Sijun 6-5, displaying breaks of 102 and 89 in the last three frames.

Matthew Selt displayed his mettle by recovering from an initial loss to defeat Jimmy White 6-1, while Robbie Williams exhibited a commanding performance, notching a high break of 135 in a 6-3 defeat of Ben Mertens.
