Exciting Lineup and Schedule Unveiled for Wuhan Open Snooker Tournament 2023

The draw for the upcoming Wuhan Open tournament has been finalized, featuring exciting first-round matches such as World Champion Luca Brecel facing off against China’s Xing Zihao. Additionally, former Crucible champions Ronnie O’Sullivan and Ken Doherty will be competing against each other in an intense match-up.

The qualifying round is scheduled to take place from September 1 to 5 in Leicester, followed by the final stages scheduled for October 9 to 15 in Wuhan, located in central China’s Hubei province.

The Wuhan Open holds significance as it marks mainland China’s first ranking event since 2019. This season’s calendar will also include two other ranking events in China: the International Championship and World Open. Preceding these events will be the invitation-only Shanghai Masters, set to be held in September.

Key matches involving Brecel, Xing, O’Sullivan, and Doherty, along with local wild cards and the top two ranked Chinese players, will be played at the final venue. Among these matches, Ding Junhui will compete against Ashley Hugill, and Zhou Yuelong will face World Women’s Champion Baipat Siripaporn.
