Pankaj Advani of India wins the World Billiards (150-Up) Championship, 2022

Pankaj Alvani from India has won the World Billiards (150-Up) Championship 2022 held at the High End Snooker Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the final of best of seven games, Pankaj defeated his compatriot Sourav Konthari 4-0 in a one sided encounter.

The title became the 25th World title of Pankaj’s career. According to the report cited at the website of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation, Pankaj started with an opening break of 149 and obtained the first game lead. In the second, he took initial lead and gave a chance where Sourav scored 31 points and went out of position.

Pankaj then returned to the table and sent another break of 77 points to cement his 2-0 lead.

In the third game, Sourav started with some good shots but missed after scoring 12 points. From there, Pankaj created an unfinishable break of 153 to take strong lead.

Praput Chaithanasukan from Thailand and S. Shrikrishna from India received bronze medals for reaching the semi-finals.
