In the ongoing Cazoo British Open, John Higgin has suffered a painful defeat against Yuan Sijun.

According to World Snooker, Higgins led in the deciding frame but missed mall red to a top corner and that proved crucial error as Yuan made 31 and then played safe. Yuan then went ahead to clear the colours and snatch victory by 66-64.

John Higgins is the second player in the History of snooker to reach the landmark of 900 career centuries.

Yuan had earlier taken the opening frame, then in the second Higgin was on course for a 147 until he missed the ninth black on 65, and Yuan cleared with 72 for 2-0.

Higgins took the next three, making a 132 in frame five. But Yuan took the next with a 72 and won the dramatic decider book his place in tonight’s third round draw.
